    Poor costumer service, sales rep sat on ber bottom more than helping us. We were judged based on our looks as to what we could afford, which is really unfortunate for this store. I walked out of this store feeling bad about myself

    Great customer service! Chris was very helpful and knowledgable. Walked into many other stores in town but couldn't find the right one. You will definitely find what you are looking for in sleep country. 5 stars from me.

    We decided to order our mattresses from the Fort McMurray store in order to shop local and support our community after the fire. We picked out our replacement mattresses and paid the deposit. We were told to call 2 weeks prior to the date we expected to return home and the order would be filled. Due to some delays this took longer than expected but we finally paid the balance of the order and requested delivery in early October. This is when things went really wrong. First, our original choice of mattress was discontinued. At no point did the sales associate call us to let us know. We could have put the mattresses in storage. The substitute mattress was missing key components and not as comfortable. The sales associate told us to pick out something else on the floor and he would honour the price. After we picked the mattresses, he changed his mind and said he would only offer us an equivalent discount. So the store’s mistake on our order ended up costing us $1300.00 additional! The sales associate did not seem to understand or care why we were upset. The second mistake occurred at delivery. The order was placed incorrectly and we were short a box spring. In order to get the correct box spring, there would be a delay of two weeks and then an additional week for delivery. One kind associate offered to delivery it personally once it arrived so we would not have to wait longer. He also assured us the original associate and manager would call us to see how they could correct the situation. They never called. The third problem occurred when the store called to arrange delivery in a week’s time. There was no record of the associate willing to drop the box spring off to us. The new female associate was very rude on the phone. When I asked to speak to the Manager about the issue, she said there was no manager. We went over to the store to speak to someone and she was the only associate working. She then lied to us telling us the Manager was not in today, yet later she said she spoke with the absent Manager and said we had to call customer service and kept referring to “her Manager” despite telling me earlier in the day that the associates manage themselves. She then rolled her eyes, sighed at us and refused to help us anymore.

    This type of customer service is appalling and unacceptable. Our community has been through tragedy with the fires, we have personally been traumatized and unable to live in our damaged home for almost 18 months. Then as we start to replace our belongings, we are taken advantage of by a local business and treated rudely in the process. We are looking to Sleep Country to make this right.
